The winner of this presidential debate is clear. Hillary Clinton won because she had facts that were true, and because she knows way more about being a president and responding to people like Donald Trump.
One thing Trump did that caused him to lose in my opinion is the fact that he would always deflect questions that he needed to answer (about taxes for example) with Clinton's email scandal. He spent so much time attacking Clinton personally that it seemed as if he had nothing else to talk about. Another weakness of his was not appealing to voters of color. He said that he wanted to re institute the unconstitutional policy of stop and frisk, which is basically a way to racially profile. If there was anything Trump did well, it was making sure that he was heard. Even though that meant interrupting the moderator and Clinton, he made sure that he got his points across.
In my opinion, Clinton did well with saying why Trump was bad. She talked about the birth certificate scandal as well as Trump's many failures. She also made the good choice of taking responsibility for her private email account, which shows that she can take responsibility for her actions.
